Position Overview
The role involves:
- Delivering comprehensive onsite installation, configuration, repair, maintenance, and support for state-owned workstations, laptops, thin client devices, desktop printers, network printers, communication devices, video conferencing tools, software applications, and all related components and peripherals.
- Administering user accounts on local PCs, select servers, and Active Directory, adhering to industry standards.
- Utilizing a tracking system to document and resolve support tickets efficiently.
- Providing limited assistance for approved mobile devices containing proprietary data, ensuring proper configuration for work-related tasks.
- Training and assisting end users on technical matters as a preventive measure.
- Implementing disaster recovery protocols to maintain operational continuity as per established plans.
- Traveling to various locations as necessary to fulfill job responsibilities.
- Identifying, diagnosing, and aiding in the resolution of network-related issues impacting end users.
- Restoring data from backup systems using designated applications for user support.
- Overseeing all assigned issues managed by internal IT teams or external contractors.
- Performing additional tasks as directed.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree or an Associate's degree with three years of relevant professional experience, or six years of professional experience in lieu of a degree.
- Strong analytical abilities, along with effective organizational and time management skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail and follow-up.
- Capability to manage projects, assignments, and competing priorities effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Desired:
- Advanced degree.
- A minimum of one year of professional experience with OTS information systems or programs utilized by the department.
- At least one relevant industry certification or training, such as CompTIA, Microsoft, HP, Dell, Cisco, ITIL Foundation, Apple, or HDI-CS.
- Professional experience with Windows-based operating systems, including installation, administration, or troubleshooting.
- Experience with various computer hardware, including PCs, laptops, printers, MFPs, routers, switches, or servers.
- Familiarity with Remote Control software, Ticketing System software, Active Directory, Exchange, or SharePoint.
- Demonstrated customer service experience.
