Job Summary:

The Patient Services Assistant plays a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support services in a dynamic healthcare environment. This role requires a strong foundation in nursing, phlebotomy, and patient care, with a focus on delivering high-quality services that meet the needs of patients and families.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Collects and processes blood and other laboratory specimens, ensuring accurate and timely results.
  • Performs EKG tracings and maintains related records, demonstrating attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Communicates effectively with healthcare team members, patients, and families, promoting a culture of respect and empathy.
  • Assists with patient transportation, equipment maintenance, and supply management, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.

Requirements:
  • High school graduate or equivalent, with completion of an approved Nursing Assistant Training program and phlebotomy course.
  • Current R. I. Department of Health CNA license and CPR certification, with a commitment to maintaining these credentials.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and writing skills, with the ability to accurately convey technical information.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
