We are seeking a highly experienced Global Communications Director to lead our strategic communications efforts in education advocacy.

Salary & Benefits

The estimated salary range for this position is $167,500 to $189,000 per year. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits including flexible hybrid work models, fully paid health, income protection, and life benefits, retirement plan options, paid parental leave, and generous paid time off.

Responsibilities
  • Lead media relations and cultivate close relationships with journalists, editors, and media outlets to promote our global advocacy initiatives and elevate Malala Fund's visibility.
  • Develop and implement an organization-wide brand elevation strategy to strengthen Malala Fund's external visibility, thought leadership, and credibility as an advocacy and grantmaking body.
  • Collaborate with the Development team to ensure communications materials effectively support fundraising campaigns through smart communications and marketing approaches.
  • Oversee Malala Fund's communications platforms, including the website, social media channels, newsletters, and other external-facing products.
Requirements
  • A passion for Malala Fund's mission and a commitment to using your skills to make a positive impact on behalf of girls globally.
  • Experience in strategic communications within a policy environment, including government or multilateral institutions, advocacy organizations, or activist networks.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and leading strategic communications strategies to advance advocacy initiatives and elevate organizational brand identity.
  • Strong professional reputation and established networks across traditional and social media, civil society, and other relevant sectors.
