Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Risk Management Director for Global Affairs to join our team. As a key member of our Global Risk team, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of strategies to mitigate global risks.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement risk management plans to identify, assess, and mitigate potential threats to national security
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement policies and procedures to address global risks
  • Provide expert guidance on global risk issues to senior leadership and other stakeholders
  • Manage and coach the Global Risk Project Associate to ensure successful project delivery
  • Stay up-to-date on emerging trends and best practices in global risk management

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in public policy, government, or think tank environment with a focus on national security or global affairs
  • Demonstrated expertise in global risk portfolio areas such as AI, biotechnology, cybersecurity, and nuclear nonproliferation
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing effective risk management strategies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • Ability to mentor and develop younger staff members
