Our midstream and marketing division ensures flow assurance and optimizes the value of our hydrocarbons. Our chemical subsidiary, OxyChem, produces essential components for life-enhancing products. Additionally, our Oxy Low Carbon Ventures subsidiary is pioneering innovative technologies and business solutions that not only foster business growth but also minimize emissions. We are dedicated to leveraging our global leadership in carbon management to promote a lower-carbon future.

We are seeking a skilled and driven professional to assume the role of Reservoir Engineer within our LCV Sequestration division located in Houston, TX.

  5. Examine reservoir fluid dynamics; assess the size of CO2 plume migration and the extent of pressure fronts.
  6. Demonstrate proficiency with SCAL data, including wettability, relative permeability, capillary pressures, and pressure-dependent rock properties.
  7. Engage in compositional modeling.
  8. Develop, calibrate, and run predictive scenarios, optimize investment alternatives, and assist in formulating field development strategies.
  9. Perform uncertainty assessments to quantify the expected range of potential outcomes.
  10. Contribute to significant technical documentation that meets regulatory agency standards.
  11. Support upcoming reserves evaluations utilizing probabilistic and deterministic methodologies.
  12. Effectively liaise with management, subject matter experts, subsurface teams, operations/planning teams, commercial teams, and other essential support organizations including Land, Legal, and Regulatory Teams.
