Position Overview
This role is pivotal in guiding a team of reservoir engineers to maximize the value of our oil and gas holdings. The individual in this position will enhance subsurface insights to identify new drilling opportunities, optimize asset management, and facilitate land acquisition strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive technical assessments to provide precise forecasts of well production.
- Offer strategic recommendations to mitigate performance and financial risks, thereby enhancing decision-making quality.
- Identify, strategize, and execute drilling locations that align with economic viability.
- Advise on potential acquisition areas to foster sustainable growth.
- Perform economic analyses to support authorization for expenditure (AFE) and acquisition initiatives.
- Engage with regulatory bodies to ensure adherence to compliance standards related to subsurface operations.
- Calculate and categorize reserves and resources accurately.
- Maintain thorough and compliant documentation practices.
- Collaborate with various business units, including operations, drilling, accounting, finance, and business development.
- Fulfill additional job-related responsibilities as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in reservoir engineering.
- Preferred: 2+ years of supervisory or management experience.
- Familiarity with industry-standard software tools.
