About Our Outpatient Services

Corewell Health operates an extensive network of outpatient clinics throughout Michigan, offering diverse healthcare options to the communities we serve. With over 40 distinct primary care and specialty practices, our clinics provide opportunities for staff to explore various interests or specialize in specific areas.

Role Overview

The Mammographer plays a crucial role in delivering healthcare services by utilizing x-ray technology to aid in diagnosis. This position involves performing medical imaging techniques and related procedures to accurately depict breast anatomy for evaluation and/or intervention by licensed practitioners. Additionally, the Mammographer assists licensed professionals during invasive procedures, ensuring optimal patient care and recognizing essential patient conditions for the successful execution of procedures.

Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Radiographer (R) certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists required upon hire.
  • Mammography (M) certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists required within one year.
  • AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days.
