Position Overview:
The Plastic Surgeon specializing in microsurgery will be responsible for leading the strategic planning and execution of breast reconstruction surgeries conducted within the residency clinic.
This role will encompass a dedicated day each week for collaboration with residents regarding forthcoming surgical cases and participation in reconstructive procedures.
Additionally, the position will require one full day weekly for staffing breast surgeries, engaging with new breast patients alongside residents, and providing insights on patient care strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all aspects of breast reconstructive surgeries.
- Consult with residents on surgical cases and patient management.
- Enhance the operational efficiency of the breast reconstruction program.
- Improve patient access and surgical outcomes.
Qualifications:
Education: Medical Degree (MD or DO) required.
Certification: Board-eligible or Board-certified in Plastic Surgery with fellowship training in Microsurgery.
Eligible candidates should possess or be on track for certification by the American Board of Plastic Surgery.
