Position Overview:
The role of the Plastic Surgeon - Microsurgeon involves the comprehensive management of breast reconstructive surgeries conducted within the residency clinic.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the strategic planning and execution of all breast reconstruction procedures.
- Engage in weekly consultations with residents regarding upcoming surgical cases and assist in the staffing of reconstructive surgeries.
- Dedicate one full day each week to overseeing breast procedures, evaluating new breast patients alongside residents, and contributing to patient care strategy discussions.
- Contribute to enhancing the efficiency of the breast reconstruction program, focusing on improving patient access and surgical outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Education: Medical Degree (MD or DO).
- Board-eligible or Board-certified in Plastic Surgery with specialized training in Microsurgery.
- Eligibility for certification by the American Board of Plastic Surgery is required.
