Position Overview:
The role of the Project Manager involves developing and executing operational strategies for project completion, monitoring project progress, and addressing operational challenges. This position requires effective communication and collaboration with various departments to ensure project success while optimizing cost efficiency and minimizing production downtime. The Project Manager will oversee the project portfolio management system, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives, managing schedules, resources, budgets, and risks, and generating reports as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to create project specifications, designs, and procurement scopes. Supervise project construction and coordinate with design teams to ensure timely and budget-compliant project delivery.
  • System Administration: Manage the Project and Portfolio Management (PPM) system, ensuring operational efficiency. Responsibilities include user training, documentation creation, and data management, as well as collaborating with IT for system updates.
  • Contract Oversight: Coordinate contracted services, ensuring compliance with organizational standards for health, safety, quality, and cost.
  • Budget Management: Track and report on budget performance, manage purchase orders, and ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Data Management: Oversee asset management and prioritize work assignments for new installations.

Qualifications:

Experience: 2-6 years in project development and management.
Education: B.S. in Project Management or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.

Essential Skills:
• Strong communication and presentation abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software.
• Knowledge of facilities management practices.

Preferred Skills:
• Familiarity with Clarity PPM, SAP, and Computer Maintenance Management Systems (Maximo).
• Understanding of building codes and industry standards.

Work Environment:
This position involves working in office settings, manufacturing plants, and outdoor environments. Flexibility for travel and overtime may be required to meet project demands.
