Position Overview:
We are in search of a Project Manager who can effectively implement and communicate operational strategies for project completion. This role involves monitoring progress and performance, resolving operational challenges, and ensuring the availability of necessary resources. The focus will be on maximizing cost efficiency and usability while minimizing production and maintenance downtime. Regular interaction with customer departments is essential, along with effective communication skills.
The role also includes developing and overseeing the portfolio management system, ensuring alignment with the strategic objectives of the Project Management Team and Department. Responsibilities encompass managing project schedules, resources, budgets, and risks, as well as configuring and scheduling jobs and generating reports.
Additionally, the position requires submitting Department Requisitions and tracking delivery costs.


Key Responsibilities:


Project Management: Collaborate with internal clients and external consultants, contractors, and suppliers to create initial concepts, specifications, designs, and procurement scopes. Work closely with department design teams, contributing expertise and overseeing project construction. Prioritize project tasks and develop schedules to meet final goals within budget and on time.
Project System Administration: Manage the configuration, administration, and maintenance of the Project and Portfolio Management (PPM) system. This includes scheduling and executing various tasks to ensure smooth operations. Responsibilities also involve user training, documentation creation, and implementing best practices. Collaborate with IT departments for system updates and improvements.
Contract Management: Organize and oversee contracted services as needed, ensuring compliance with organizational targets related to health and safety, environmental standards, quality, cost, and confidentiality. Ensure deliverables meet contract specifications and industry standards.
Budget Coordination: Manage and report on the Unit site budget, tracking costs and communicating discrepancies to the team. Process purchase orders in the relevant systems and ensure timely receipt of materials and services.
Maximo Data Entry: Assign work priorities and plan for new assets installed by the project team.


Qualifications:


Required Experience: 2-6 years in project development, coordination, and management.
Required Education: B.S. degree in Project Management or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
Other Skills:

• Effective oral and written communication skills; strong customer focus; proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software.

• Knowledge of facilities management and operations.

• Preferred Skills: Familiarity with Clarity PPM, SAP, and Computer Maintenance Management Systems (Maximo); experience with Microsoft Project and AutoCAD/Revit.

• Knowledge of building codes and industry standards, including ADA and NFPA regulations.

• Proven ability to communicate effectively and balance multiple projects simultaneously.

• Ability to work overtime as needed to complete tasks and manage projects during weekends or shutdowns.
