Overview:
The Director of Mission Integration & Spiritual Care plays a pivotal role in ensuring that the Mission is seamlessly woven into the daily operations and interactions within the organization.


Key Responsibilities:
1. **Leadership in Mission Integration:**
Provide strategic leadership in the senior living environment, focusing on the achievement of key priorities set by the Executive Director.
2. **Subject Matter Expertise:**
Act as the primary expert on Mission, core values, and heritage, collaborating with campus leaders to ensure their incorporation into policies and practices.
3. **Cultural Development:**
Foster a workplace culture that instills pride and ownership in the Mission, helping employees find meaning and purpose in their roles.
4. **Spirituality in the Workplace:**
Encourage and cultivate spirituality among staff, leading prayer sessions and theological reflections.
5. **Training and Formation:**
Oversee the orientation and ongoing training programs for managers and employees to ensure alignment with the Mission.
6. **Ethical Oversight:**
Ensure compliance with the Ethical and Religious Directives for Catholic Healthcare Services, chairing the Ethics committee and facilitating ethics consultations for residents and families.
7. **Spiritual Care Integration:**
Ensure that exceptional spiritual care is part of the continuum of care, especially at end-of-life stages.
8. **Community Engagement:**
Coordinate religious services and programs for residents, engage with volunteers, and connect with local clergy and faith communities.


Qualifications:
Education:
A Bachelor's Degree is required, with a Master's preferred in theology, healthcare, education, or a related field. Candidates should possess a solid understanding of operations and healthcare ethics, as well as familiarity with diverse spiritualities and the Catholic Church's framework.
Experience:
Experience working with the elderly is essential, preferably in a healthcare setting. A minimum of two years in management roles is required, along with at least two units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) or equivalent training in pastoral care, with the intention of becoming a Board Certified Chaplain.


In this role, the Director of Mission Integration & Spiritual Care will perform all duties in alignment with the mission and values of the organization, which include compassion, excellence, inclusion, integrity, and collaboration.
