POSITION SUMMARY:

This role is a full-time, non-exempt hourly position, dedicated to supporting the Army National Guard's Mission Command Training Program (MCTSP). The Mission Command Support Team (MCST) Trainer is tasked with providing comprehensive training on Mission Command Information Systems (MCIS) for the Mission Training Complex. This includes the creation of Training Support Packages (TSPs), formal classroom instruction, and hands-on support during training exercises, as well as the integration of various training modalities including Live, Virtual, Constructive, Gaming, and Mission Command (LVCG+MC).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct formal training sessions for information system operators and provide informal, on-the-job training during collective training exercises.
  • Develop Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) for the effective use of Mission Command systems.
  • Design communication system architectures to facilitate collaboration and information sharing within Tactical Operations Centers (TOC), Command Posts (CP), and Warfighter functional areas.
  • Create and modify training materials to enhance Gaming and Simulation capabilities.
  • Establish training environments tailored to specific unit needs, including system setup, configuration, testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Deliver both single and multi-echelon collective training in alignment with established MTC TSPs.
  • Support various US Army Mission Command capabilities, including but not limited to CPOF, FBCB2, BFT/BFT2, JCR, JBC-P, DCGS-A, TIGR, GCCSA, ICSF, AFATDS, AMDWS, TAIS, and JADOCS.
  • Maintain and update courseware documentation for Army Mission Command Systems (MCSs), ensuring alignment with each Program Manager's TSPs.
  • Report directly to the MCST Trainer Lead.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least 2 years of teaching experience in Mission Command Systems, preferably as an assistant instructor for the same courseware.
  • A minimum of 4 years of service in or in support of the Army or other national defense services.
  • Subject Matter Expertise (SME) in one or more Mission Command Systems (MCSs) with practical operational experience.
  • Completion of a relevant course of study leading to proficiency in Army Mission Command Systems (MCSs) and associated software.
  • Current certification in Army training doctrine.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

High School Diploma is required; an Associate's degree is preferred.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance and meet other eligibility criteria for access to classified information.
