Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Applications Support Specialist to join our team at Peraton. As a key member of our Applications Support team, you will be responsible for providing top-notch support services related to the installation and deployment of CA applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish and maintain CA systems
  • Perform root cause analysis and document problems and outages
  • Ensure timely logging and management of problems/incidents in the Ticket Management System
  • Participate in planning meetings to execute proactive system upgrades and new technology implementations
  • Identify opportunities to automate routine processes
  • Review and document procedures for maintaining CA operational capability
  • Attend training sessions to stay up-to-date on CA applications
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in applications support
  • Deep understanding of Tier 2 Windows and/or Linux OS installation and configuration issues
  • Understanding of multi-tier applications that interface with RDMSs (relational database management systems), such as Oracle
  • Experience working with custom applications and troubleshooting issues in a client-server environment
  • Ability to support ServiceNow tickets related to CA systems and applications
  • Experience working with web-based applications running on Apache and/or IIS
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting the U.S. Department of State
  • Experience working with Salesforce application installations and troubleshooting
  • Experience working with Open Shift container/applications environment
  • Experience providing applications support and deployments in a cloud environment
Work Environment

This position is hybrid with remote work and up to two days per week in the office in Sterling, VA or Washington, DC. The Applications Support Specialist must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends.

Qualifications
  • U.S. citizenship and minimum active SECRET Government Security Clearance with the ability to obtain TOP SECRET clearance
  • Education and Experience Requirements: 9 years with HS diploma; 7 years with AS; 5 years with BS/BA; 3 years with MS/MA
