Primary Responsibilities
  • Assist clients in submitting insurance claims for both private insurers and government programs
  • Ensure all necessary forms are accurately processed
  • Guide patients through the billing and insurance processes, collecting required signatures and documentation
  • Accurately input billing and payment data into the system
  • Follow up with clients regarding outstanding payments
  • Manage phone inquiries, providing assistance and taking messages as needed
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times
  • Contact insurance providers to confirm eligibility and benefits
  • Secure necessary authorizations
  • Timely submission of invoices
  • Resubmit any denied claims
  • Utilize insurance company websites effectively
  • Collect payments and maintain accurate records
  • Update payment information in the system
  • Prepare weekly revenue reports for management
  • Coordinate with office staff on appointment scheduling

Qualifications
  • Excellent customer service abilities
  • Experience in medical coding or billing is preferred
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Spanish is advantageous
  • Familiarity with Practice Perfect and Office Ally is a plus
