Position Overview

Role: Corporate Relationship Manager

Salary Range: $86,100 - $114,700 annually

At Midland States Bank, the base salary is just one aspect of our comprehensive Total Rewards program. The specific compensation is influenced by various factors including education, skills, internal equity, and experience. This position also provides opportunities for additional earnings through short-term incentives (such as bonuses and/or commissions) and may include long-term incentives (like stock awards). Key Responsibilities

  • Demonstrated capability to generate at least $10 million in new loan commitments annually.
  • Responsible for collecting a minimum of $20,000 in loan fees each year.
  • Formulate a detailed strategy for all clients and prospects to continuously integrate other Midland States Bank resources into the relationship.
  • Maintain an active list of loan and deposit prospects and conduct well-organized, value-driven joint meetings with those prospects.
  • Analyze financial data, structure and negotiate transactions, and manage ongoing credit maintenance tasks.
  • Minimize delinquencies by proactively collecting overdue loans and ensuring timely submission of required reporting information from clients.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Engage actively in team meetings and activities, contributing valuable insights.
  • Complete all required training programs.
  • Exhibit proficiency in relevant computer systems and applications.
  • Keep current records of activities in the Client Management System.
  • Dedicate a minimum of 25 hours per year to organizational involvement that enhances business opportunities for the Bank and supports its initiatives.
  • This role may require occasional travel for training and team meetings, as well as periodic travel to market locations as necessary.
  • May necessitate working in a Midland office to foster collaboration and support for both internal and external clients.
  • Adhere to all applicable regulations, including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or a related field.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in Commercial Banking.
  • Successful completion of Bank Training relevant to the position.
  • Proficiency in job-related computer applications.
  • Direct sales experience ranging from three to five years.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding annual goals for the past three years.
