Job Overview

The Customer Support Specialist plays a crucial role in managing service desk operations, facilitating membership sales, and ensuring the overall cleanliness of the facility and its equipment. Key Responsibilities
  • Welcome all members and guests upon arrival and bid farewell upon their departure;
  • Oversee club access for both members and non-members;
  • Address inquiries and resolve complaints from members and guests;
  • Respond to phone inquiries and provide information to potential members;
  • Conduct tours for prospective members;
  • Facilitate membership sales, complete agreements, and input new member data into the system;
  • Utilize the Point-of-Sale system and manage collections on overdue accounts;
  • Organize and maintain the customer service front desk area;
  • Schedule appointments for fitness training sessions;
  • Perform regular facility inspections every 20 minutes and complete necessary checklists;
  • Assist new employees by answering questions and providing guidance;
  • Execute opening and closing procedures for each shift;
  • Maintain club cleanliness, including:
    • Cleaning equipment and surrounding areas;
    • Dusting and wiping surfaces as needed;
    • Vacuuming and mopping floors;
    • Restocking supplies such as toilet paper and soap;
    • Emptying waste receptacles;
    • Organizing cleaning supplies.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred;
  • Prior experience in customer service or sales is advantageous;
  • Experience in cleaning or maintenance is preferred;

  • Experience operating cleaning equipment such as vacuums and floor scrubbers;
  • Familiarity with standard cleaning products and chemicals;
  • Ability to assess and respond to behavior in the environment;
  • Effective communication skills to relay information clearly.
