Medical Records Coordinator

AmSurg is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Records Clerk to join our team. As a Medical Records Clerk, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records, responding to requests for medical records, and performing various clerical duties.
Key Responsibilities- Compile, verify, and file medical records
- Scan and file patient charts per policy
- Respond to requests for information from files according to established policies and procedures
- Operate computer to retrieve data and file signed correspondence and reports
- Comply with federal HIPAA regulations and practice policies for the privacy and security of patient information
- High School Diploma or GED
- One year of experience in a healthcare environment
- Ability to speak and understand the English language
- Strong ethical and moral character references
- Basic computer skills
This is a full-time position that requires regular and predictable attendance. The successful candidate will be required to pass a background check and drug screen.
