Position Overview:

We are in search of a Senior Financial Systems Analyst to provide ongoing support for Workday, focusing on maximizing its extensive reporting capabilities. This role is pivotal in shaping our operational processes and delivering reporting solutions that enhance visibility, while also playing a crucial part in the implementation of Workday Financials.

This position will report to the Senior Financial Systems Manager and will be integrated within the Business Intelligence and Systems team in the Finance department.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee Workday Financials by configuring business processes, condition rules, and validations.
  • Create and manage intricate financial reports within Workday.
  • Engage in bi-annual regression testing for Workday releases and the adoption of new features.
  • Stay informed about the Workday roadmap and suggest improvements in relevant areas.
  • Act as a technical authority, assisting the finance team with Workday reporting.
  • Build strong collaborative relationships across Finance, Engineering, and People organizations, focusing on Workday integrations.
  • Utilize Workday and other systems to design, develop, and deliver scalable reporting solutions.
  • Perform daily administrative and production support tasks as needed.
  • Develop and conduct training sessions on financial business processes and Workday usage.
  • Work independently while managing relationships, deliverables, and expectations with business partners.
  • Maintain a personable and approachable demeanor, fostering connections with team members and stakeholders.
  • Stay detail-oriented while managing multiple projects.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related Business field (Master's preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience in configuring and supporting a combination of modules such as Supplier Accounts, Customers, Projects and Billing, Business Assets, Expenses, Banking and Settlement, Financial Accounting, and Accounting Center.
  • Expertise in Financial Management Systems with a vision for optimal solution architecture.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across functions and effectively influence senior business partners.
  • High emotional intelligence with the capability to influence outcomes and communicate technical information to diverse audiences.

Subject Matter Expertise:
  • Advanced Workday Financial Reports (including Matrix, Composite, Discovery Boards, Prism, Office Connect).
  • FDM design, deployment, and maintenance.

Preferred Experience:
  • Database Management Systems (SQL) with a knack for solving complex issues.
  • Front-end reporting tools (Tableau).
  • ETLs/ELTs related to Workday integrations.
  • Experience with multiple subsidiary structures and various functional currencies.
  • Knowledge of consolidations and SOX compliance.
  • Workday Pro Certifications.
  • Familiarity with finance planning tools (e.g., Planning Analytics - TM1).
  • Experience with Alteryx and integration platforms like Fivetran or Mulesoft.
  • Proficiency in Jira/Confluence or other Scrum Management tools.
  • Spanish fluency is a significant advantage.
  • Understanding of the banking sector is a plus.
