About the Position:

Wells Fargo is in search of an Operations Manager to oversee the Currency Transaction Regulatory Reporting Group (CTRRG) within the Chief Operating Office (COO). This group is dedicated to the precise and timely submission of Currency Transaction Reports to FinCEN, adhering to the requirements of the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and nurture specialized teams focused on customer service and operational functions, particularly in complex and high-risk areas.
  • Formulate strategies to enhance staffing procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards to support risk management.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and internal partners within the Operations sector.
  • Independently tackle moderately complex challenges and projects.
  • Identify and recommend process enhancements and risk control measures, escalating significant issues to senior management.
  • Provide mentorship, performance evaluations, and training for junior team members.
  • Make informed decisions regarding resource allocation and operational objectives to fulfill business goals.
  • Develop and interpret policies and procedures for operational functions of varying complexity.
  • Oversee budget management and financial performance metrics.
  • Influence and collaborate with professionals at all organizational levels, including senior managers.
  • Guide the team towards achieving operational objectives.
  • Manage the distribution of personnel and financial resources within Operations.
  • Support the development of talent among direct reports and assist in recruitment efforts.
Required Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in Operations or equivalent experience through various means such as work, training, military service, or education.
  • At least 2 years of leadership experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Currency Transaction Reporting for over a year.
  • Familiarity with Anti-Money Laundering practices and the Bank Secrecy Act.
  • More than 2 years of supervisory experience, including coaching and mentoring.
  • Proven ability to deliver results in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
  • Experience in motivating teams to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and achieve objectives under pressure.
  • Skilled in building partnerships and collaborating across all levels of the organization.
  • Adept at identifying inefficiencies and implementing process improvements.
  • Proficient in systems such as Actimize, Hogan, and Electronic Journal.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of conveying ideas to diverse audiences.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Job Expectations:
  • Comply with established policies and applicable regulations.
  • This position does not qualify for Visa sponsorship.
  • Willingness to work on-site as required.
  • Standard schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with flexible start times.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Assist with production-related tasks, including validating batch completions and identifying aging transactions.
  • Support the team in research and analysis to identify reportable currency transactions in line with regulations.
  • Implement controls to monitor business processes effectively.
  • Address and resolve issues promptly to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct complex research while maintaining production and quality standards.
  • Communicate effectively with internal partners to achieve CTRRG objectives.
  • Contribute to new business initiatives as necessary.
