The Heavy Machinery Maintenance Technician plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional repair services on heavy equipment, ensuring customer satisfaction through prompt and effective solutions.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Execute assigned tasks efficiently to meet performance metrics.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines established by Riggs.
  • Accurately complete necessary documentation and utilize databases for job-related tasks.
  • Follow established contamination control and hazardous materials regulations.
  • Disassemble, reassemble, and test equipment components with minimal oversight.
  • Engage in ongoing training to enhance skills and knowledge.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Solid understanding of engine systems, electrical and hydraulic components.
  • Familiarity with hand tools, diagnostic software, and safety equipment.
  • Ability to provide precise information for cost estimation purposes.
  • Possession of adequate tools to fulfill job responsibilities.
  • High school diploma or GED, with relevant experience preferred.
  • Valid driving record and ability to obtain a commercial driver's license.
  • Minimum age requirement of 21 for field vehicle operation.
  • Certification for forklift and man lift operation is mandatory.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including overtime and on-call duties.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position involves regular physical activity, including standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds. The technician will be exposed to mechanical parts and potentially hazardous materials. Adherence to safety standards is essential to mitigate risks associated with the work environment.
