Position Purpose:

This role is responsible for executing preventative maintenance on all facility equipment and performing repairs. The technician will also fabricate and install equipment, comprehend regulations, and provide training to colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Maintenance Scheduling: Organize and execute repairs on equipment, inspect motors, belts, and fluid levels, and follow maintenance checklists using various hand and power tools.
  2. Unscheduled Repairs: Address unexpected equipment failures, including welding, troubleshooting electrical and hydraulic systems, and fabricating parts as necessary.
  3. Fabrication Skills: Utilize diagrams and blueprints to plan repair work, operate welding equipment, and align new machinery post-installation.
  4. Equipment Testing: Conduct inspections and tests on machinery to identify malfunctions, ensuring compliance with operational standards.
  5. Routine Inspections: Perform regular preventive maintenance to maintain equipment efficiency and longevity.
  6. Housekeeping: Maintain cleanliness in the workshop and tool storage areas.
  7. Data Management: Work with data control systems and resolve any related issues.
  8. Additional Duties: Carry out other relevant tasks as assigned.

Experience Required:

Minimum of 3 years in a related field, with a preference for candidates possessing 5-7 years of experience in maintenance involving hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic electrical systems. Familiarity with forklifts and safety protocols is essential.

Certifications:

Preferred certifications include Boiler, Welding, or Electrical certifications, along with Instrumentation and Controls (I&C) certification.
