Kaiser Permanente is looking for a Physician Assistant specializing in Cardiology.
Position OverviewThe Physician Assistant will work under the supervision of a physician to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. This role involves managing patients in various settings, including outpatient clinics, hospitals, and emergency departments.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations and physical examinations.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including imaging and laboratory studies.
- Perform therapeutic procedures such as injections, suturing, and wound care.
- Develop and implement management plans for patient care.
- Educate patients and families on health maintenance and treatment plans.
- Assist in surgical procedures and provide first assistance as required.
- Facilitate patient admissions, transfers, and discharges.
- Participate in performance improvement initiatives within the department.
Experience:
- No prior experience required for the Physician Assistant role.
- Minimum of three years of experience for the Senior Physician Assistant position.
Education:
- Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
Licensure:
- California State Physician Assistant License required.
- NCCPA certification must be maintained throughout employment.
- BLS certification is mandatory.
