Job Summary

The Business Development Representative is a key member of the Health First team, responsible for driving strategic growth and market development initiatives. This role requires a strong understanding of the healthcare industry, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build strong relationships with providers and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Growth Planning
    • Create and implement annual strategic growth plans to drive budgeted growth objectives and align with Health First's IDN strategy.
  • Market Analysis and Intelligence
    • Analyze and interpret market utilization data to identify sales priorities and ensure alignment with the vision and strategic goals of the Service Line.
  • Provider Relationship Management
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with physicians, providers, and staff to understand their needs and preferences.
    • Complete face-to-face sales meetings and follow-up meetings to close business and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Issue Resolution and Communication
    • Manage issues in an objective fact-gathering manner to ensure internal constituents receive adequate information to act on.
    • Develop and communicate messages on behalf of Health First regarding provider issues.
  • Market Intelligence and Reporting
    • Document contacts, provider visits, issue resolution, and market intelligence into CRM.
    • Prepare and present monthly sales dashboards to identify trends, opportunities, and obstacles to retention and new business growth.
  • Process Improvement and Collaboration
    • Participate in and lead provider-related process improvement projects to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Collaborate with the Business Development Director and other stakeholders to drive strategic growth initiatives.
