Position Summary:

The National Account Manager for Sun Shading Solutions (S3) will act as the primary external liaison for the Nice product range. The ideal candidate will be a proactive self-starter with a strong sales-driven mindset and a successful sales history. This role involves adapting to a dynamic set of responsibilities. The National Account Manager will develop and execute both short-term and long-term sales strategies to achieve the sales and profit objectives for Nice Sun Shading Solutions in their designated region. Responsibilities include all sales activities from lead generation to closing deals within the assigned territory. The role requires the development and implementation of a sales plan to expand the customer base while ensuring outstanding customer satisfaction and alignment with company values.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain productive, professional relationships with key personnel in assigned partner accounts.
  • Serve as the primary external contact for the Sun Shading Portfolio, actively recruiting new qualifying partners.
  • Achieve assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives within partner accounts.
  • Lead a collaborative partner planning process to establish mutual performance objectives and financial targets.
  • Continuously assess and validate partner needs, including customer demand forecasting.
  • Manage potential channel conflicts by fostering effective communication internally and externally.
  • Oversee solution development efforts that address installer and end-user requirements while coordinating necessary personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with all partner agreements.
  • Promote company programs among assigned partners.
  • Provide weekly sales reports detailing current and pending sales, industry trends, key opportunities, challenges, and competitive insights.
  • Meet assigned sales quotas and profitability expectations.
  • Develop partner account plans that adhere to company standards and maintain high partner satisfaction ratings.
  • Complete required training and development objectives within the designated timeframe.
  • Coordinate company executive involvement with partner and installer management as needed.
  • Collaborate closely with the Department VP, marketing, tech support, and product management to ensure alignment of portfolio, pricing, and assets with customer needs.
  • Provide a rolling six-month forecast quarterly.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3+ years of sales experience in perimeter security products; experience with shades and shading motors is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Technical background in fence or gate manufacturing, perimeter security, or access control is advantageous.
  • Experience in Window Covering, Custom Install/Automation, or CEDIA is preferred but not mandatory.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in sales reporting using CRM and MS Office applications.
  • Proven ability to develop new customer relationships with a strong sales-driven mentality.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to deliver professional presentations and implement sales strategies to meet company goals.
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and confident with a strong drive for sales growth.
  • Highly skilled in relationship building, negotiation, organization, and technical sales.
  • Capability to sell premium technical products in a competitive environment.
  • Experience in selling solutions within a complex, multi-level sales channel.
  • Positive attitude, self-motivated, and eager to achieve success.
