Position Summary:

The National Account Manager for Sun Shading Solutions (S3) will act as the primary external liaison for the Nice product line. The ideal candidate should be a proactive self-starter with a strong sales orientation and a successful sales history. This role demands adaptability to a dynamic set of responsibilities. The National Account Manager will develop and execute both short-term and long-term sales strategies to achieve the sales and profitability objectives for Nice Sun Shading Solutions in their designated region. Responsibilities encompass all sales activities, from lead generation to closing deals within the assigned territory. The role includes creating and implementing a sales plan to expand the customer base while ensuring outstanding customer satisfaction and alignment with company values.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain productive, professional relationships with key stakeholders in assigned partner accounts.
  • Serve as the primary external contact for the Sun Shading Portfolio, actively seeking new qualifying partners.
  • Achieve assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic goals within partner accounts.
  • Lead a collaborative partner planning process that establishes mutual performance objectives and critical milestones.
  • Continuously assess and validate partner needs, including customer demand forecasting.
  • Manage potential channel conflicts by promoting effective communication internally and externally.
  • Oversee solution development efforts that address the needs of installers and end-users while coordinating necessary personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with all partner agreements.
  • Promote company programs among assigned partners.
  • Provide weekly sales reports detailing current and prospective sales, industry trends, opportunities, challenges, and competitive insights.
  • Meet assigned sales quotas and profitability expectations.
  • Develop and maintain partner account plans that align with company standards and ensure high partner satisfaction.
  • Complete required training and development objectives within designated time frames.
  • Coordinate company executive involvement with partner and installer management as necessary.
  • Collaborate closely with the Department VP, marketing, technical support, and product management to ensure alignment of portfolio, pricing, and assets with customer needs.
  • Provide a rolling six-month forecast quarterly.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3+ years of sales experience in perimeter security products; experience with shades and shading motors is advantageous.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Technical background in fence or gate manufacturing, perimeter security, or access control is a plus.
  • Experience in Window Covering, Custom Install/Automation, or CEDIA is preferred but not mandatory.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in sales reporting using CRM systems and MS Office applications.
  • Proven ability to cultivate and develop new customer relationships with a strong sales mentality.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to deliver professional presentations and implement sales programs to achieve company objectives.
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and confident, with the ability to drive sales growth while developing similar skills in others.
  • Strong relationship-building, negotiation, organizational, and technical sales skills.
  • Capability to sell a technical premium product at a competitive price.
  • Experience in selling solutions within a complex, multi-level sales environment.
  • Positive attitude, self-driven, and eager to succeed.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to communicate effectively via telephone and in person.
  • Visual acuity to review and organize documents.
  • Manual dexterity to operate a personal computer frequently.
  • Mobility to work in an office setting and at a keyboard for a significant portion of the workday.
  • Willingness to travel up to 60% of the time.

Working Conditions:

  • Comfortable working in an office environment with moderate noise levels.
  • Primarily in an open office setting with reasonable lighting and temperature control.
  • Ability to work effectively from a home office.
  • Traveling by various modes of transportation, with conditions varying regarding temperature and exposure to elements.
