Role Overview:

Lead the successful operations of SafeSplash by ensuring outstanding management of the facility, with a focus on operational excellence, staff oversight, customer service, marketing, retail, and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with the facility owner and General Manager.
  • Staff Management - Recruit, hire, orient, schedule, and train team members; maintain a secure and safe work environment; foster a positive workplace culture that promotes employee development.
  • Work alongside the Aquatics Director to achieve operational goals.
  • Drive staff performance by setting clear job expectations; conduct regular evaluations; provide coaching, counseling, and disciplinary actions as necessary; develop and enforce policies and productivity standards.
Customer Experience - Ultimately accountable for the customer journey at SafeSplash. Ensure high standards of customer service are upheld by all team members. Identify and resolve service issues, recognize trends, and implement strategies for improvement.

Human Resources - In addition to staff management duties, oversee administrative functions related to employee management, including policies, payroll, and benefits.

Marketing - Manage local marketing initiatives. Collaborate with the SafeSplash Corporate Marketing team to implement promotional materials. Oversee community outreach and maintain communication with current and prospective clients.

Business Strategy - Set strategic objectives by gathering relevant business, financial, and operational data; assess trends and options; select appropriate actions; define goals; and evaluate results.

Additional Responsibilities: Perform other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years in a management role within customer service.
  • Proficient in scheduling software and experienced with spreadsheets and word processing applications.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • A collaborative leader who values team development.
  • Exceptional communication and guest relations skills.
  • Strong multitasking capabilities, able to manage various schedules and ensure timely service.
  • Positive attitude and a caring demeanor.
  • Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends.
  • Preferred: Experience in swim instruction or competitive swimming, with knowledge of stroke techniques and teaching methodologies.
