Job Summary

The primary objective of this role is to drive electrical and controls losses throughout the organization, troubleshoot electrical issues, and resolve root causes. This position will drive improvement in critical business results, including Safety, Quality, Cost, PR, Stops, and Customer Service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Learn all aspects of electrical equipment, controls, and processes throughout the plant.
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts for all electrical and controls equipment.
  • Drive improvements on systemic losses throughout the plant.
  • Be a key member of an electrical support team to drive out daily losses.
  • Communicate with leadership and maintenance personnel on clear problem statements and determine next steps on troubleshooting efforts.
  • Partner with supervisors and Line leaders in resolution of daily issues.
  • Be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the area of power and controls.
  • Responsible for electrical spares and components.
  • Direct and manage electrical and controls work performed by company maintenance personnel, contractors, or third parties.
  • Lead the site in electrical safety, including electrical culture and installations.
  • Responsible for training and qualifying maintenance personnel to perform electrical work consistent with industry standards.
  • Provide leadership of and effective execution of approved Capital Engineering Projects, with emphasis on electrical and controls.
  • Identify training issues with mechanics and operators, including electrical safety, and facilitate training.
Qualifications
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent, with a strong desire to learn and advance electrical systems knowledge.
  • Experience: Reliable employee with a strong work ethic, eager to learn and advance skills, with a preferred background in industrial controls equipment and electrical engineering.
