In collaboration with the Marketing Manager, the Lead Marketing Specialist will play a crucial role in supporting various daily business development initiatives, serving as a strategic asset for the Consumer Experiences sector, particularly focused on retail.

Your responsibilities will encompass a diverse range of tasks that enable the department to efficiently monitor and communicate the progress of all active projects assigned to you. You will also contribute to the execution of marketing initiatives, Statements of Qualifications (SOQs), support for industry conferences, and conduct market and client research to foster business growth for MG2.

  • Drafts, coordinates, and develops SOQs, proposals, and presentations.
  • Organizes and maintains marketing materials, including project sheets, resumes, project lists, and related collateral.
  • Acts as a key strategic resource for leadership on pursuits, providing insights into the market's practice staff, service offerings, and project portfolio.
  • Assists in managing lead tracking and development.
  • Conducts research on potential clients and project opportunities.
  • Identifies, tracks, and coordinates opportunities for conferences, industry events, and awards.
  • Supports special office, client, and philanthropic events.
  • Collaborates with the Marketing Communications team on content development for market-specific communication programs, including social media and website content.
  • Keeps the Marketing Communications team informed about new visual assets and project readiness for photography.
  • Ensures project teams accurately input project details in the management system as projects conclude.
  • Contributes to the uploading and maintenance of assets in our digital asset management system.
  • Performs additional administrative tasks and special projects as required.
  • Maintains and communicates MG2's brand consistently.
  • Effectively manages marketing project workload.
  • Aligns performance with the firmwide strategic plan and objectives.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in proposal and statement of qualifications development, with a preference for AEC experience in the retail sector.
  • Strong knowledge and interest in the retail market, including trends and brands.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with editing experience and a strong grasp of grammar and advanced graphic design skills.
  • Proactive, organized, and detail-oriented with a commitment to continuous learning and collaboration.
  • High resourcefulness and proficiency in MS Office, Adobe InDesign, SharePoint, and social media platforms.
  • Exemplary customer service work ethic and ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to thrive under pressure or tight deadlines.
