Position Summary:

As a Technical Sales Consultant, you will oversee the sales process for a select group of key OEM and End-User clients within the Thermal Solutions Business Unit. This role demands consultative selling skills to accurately assess customer needs and deliver customized solutions aligned with their corporate goals and product focus. A comprehensive understanding of various process-driven industries, especially in the Food and Beverage manufacturing sector and other General Industrial markets, is essential. Success in this position hinges on your ability to navigate intricate sales cycles and cultivate robust customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and implement sales strategies to enhance revenue growth and achieve objectives.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop account strategies.
  • Actively listen to customer feedback and advocate for their needs within the organization.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor, comprehending the customer's technical landscape to offer value-added solutions.
  • Manage the entire sales cycle, from initial outreach to closing deals, with an emphasis on fostering long-term partnerships.
  • Achieve assigned annual revenue targets by establishing clear goals and actionable plans.
  • Conduct comprehensive market research to identify new opportunities and stay informed about industry trends.
  • Work alongside cross-functional teams, including engineering and product management, to provide tailored solutions.
  • Negotiate technical and commercial terms of agreements, including performance specifications and pricing.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related discipline is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in technical sales.
  • A solid understanding of the general industrial sector and/or specialized knowledge in Food and Beverage and Forestry Products.
  • Demonstrated success in technical sales roles.
  • Strong technical acumen with the ability to convey complex concepts effectively to clients.
  • Proven experience managing lengthy and intricate sales processes from initial contact to contract execution.
