Position: Electromechanical Sales Consultant

Location: Candidates should be based in the St. Louis, MO and Indianapolis, IN markets.

ASSA ABLOY is renowned for its innovative door opening solutions, offering a wide range of products and services including locks, doors, gates, and entrance automation. Our solutions encompass various access control technologies, including mechanical and digital locks, security doors, and biometric verification systems.

In this role, you will play a crucial part in promoting and selling ASSA ABLOY's electro-mechanical (EM) and electronic access control (EAC) products within your designated territory. You will serve as the primary expert on our EM and EAC offerings, guiding customers through applications, technology, installation, and deployment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive training to integrators on sales, installation, and support capabilities, ensuring they can effectively represent ASSA ABLOY's EM and EAC products.
  • Educate channel partners, end users, and internal teams on the proper application of our solutions.
  • Facilitate product testing and initial installations, ensuring successful integration into existing systems.
  • Collaborate with local and regional managers to develop strategies for increasing sales of EM and EAC products.
  • Engage in pre-installation meetings and site surveys, ensuring seamless project execution.
  • Support channel partners and end users with service issues when factory support is not feasible.
  • Enhance the team's understanding of EM and EAC products to drive sales initiatives.
  • Conduct joint sales calls with various specialists to maximize outreach and impact.
  • Present effectively to diverse decision-makers, including finance and IT professionals.
  • Articulate ASSA ABLOY's channel strategy to partners.
  • Work with the team to determine the best channel path for each project.
  • Maintain the project funnel and collaborate with team members to ensure success.
  • Conduct training sessions for stakeholders to enhance product knowledge.
  • Provide market insights and feedback to management.
  • Achieve financial objectives for EM and EAC products.
  • Ensure product demonstrations are operational and visually appealing.
  • Assist in product selection and troubleshooting issues in collaboration with integrators.
  • Capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs for presentations.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a 5-year Associate's or Technical degree.
  • At least 5 years of experience in field sales related to EMAC products.
  • Self-motivated with a strong aptitude for technical solutions.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders in a team environment.
  • Exceptional presentation and closing skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Excellent follow-up capabilities.
