Director of Legal Affairs in Government Services

Summit Healthcare Inc. is a leader in providing innovative healthcare solutions, including advanced technology and training services to governmental and law enforcement agencies.

Position: Director of Legal Affairs

Under the guidance of the Chief Legal Officer, the Director will offer specialized legal support to Summit Healthcare's Government Solutions division, advising both internal teams and external partners on the forefront of healthcare technology and its evolving regulatory environment. Our mission is to ensure the organization maintains its growth trajectory by applying sound legal judgment to support operations and influence a transformative industry.

As a vital member of the Government Solutions Leadership Team, you will report directly to the President of the division and serve as the Secretary of the Board of Managers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Scale legal support effectively to align with the rapid growth of the Government Solutions division.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to the Senior Leadership Team, addressing a wide range of legal, compliance, and contractual matters.
  • Enhance processes to streamline the division's go-to-market strategies and strengthen compliance measures.
  • Oversee all contracts and agreements related to public sector clients, including federal and state agencies.
  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of how government procurement regulations intersect with Summit Healthcare's offerings.
  • Conduct regular training sessions for relevant teams to ensure compliance and understanding of legal frameworks.
  • Develop a strategic vision for the future legal team supporting Government Solutions.
  • Perform a thorough audit of existing public sector agreements and implement a robust compliance program.
  • Foster strong relationships to ensure satisfaction among internal clients and external partners while promoting efficient processes.
Qualifications
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree with relevant experience in high-growth environments.
  • Exceptional judgment and analytical skills are paramount.
  • In-depth knowledge of federal acquisition regulations and best practices, particularly in relation to healthcare services.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity standards and requirements applicable to healthcare technology.
  • Experience supporting public sector sales teams in a rapidly growing B2B environment.
  • Proven track record in developing effective public sector go-to-market strategies.
  • Understanding of compliance and security measures related to government contracts.
  • Experience in corporate governance, outside counsel management, and legal aspects of various business operations.
  • Possession of an active security clearance or willingness to obtain one.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Interest in the intersection of healthcare and technology.
