Position Overview:
At MacDonald-Miller Facility Solutions, we are seeking a Chief Legal Officer to deliver comprehensive legal guidance across all facets of our commercial construction initiatives and business agreements. This role involves close collaboration with various stakeholders and senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contract Oversight: Draft, assess, and negotiate construction contracts, ensuring adherence to federal and multi-state regulations, as well as managing liens and other collection processes.
  • Risk Management: Lead the risk management team, ensuring compliance with multi-state licensing and insurance requirements, while developing strategies for warranty management.
  • Legal Advisory: Provide legal counsel on major business transactions, including acquisitions and joint ventures, while managing pre-litigation and litigation processes.
  • Corporate Governance: Advise on governance matters and oversee the selection and management of external legal counsel.

Your Qualifications:
We are looking for a candidate with:
  • A minimum of 5 years of progressive in-house legal experience within the construction sector.
  • A proven track record in litigation and dispute resolution.
  • Expertise in compliance with multi-state regulations.
  • A Juris Doctor degree and admission to the relevant bar association.
