We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer with eight or more years of experience in Consulting Engineering at CMTA Inc.

This candidate must have a strong and innovative technical background in Electrical Engineering.

The ideal candidate is a leader and is self-motivated individual who thrives on helping our team and clients be successful.

As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and overseeing the electrical systems, power distribution, lighting and lighting controls, emergency power, UPS, renewable energy systems, fire alarm system, low-voltage systems/coordination (IT, safety, security, access control), etc.

Our ideal candidate will be involved in all phases of the project, including project management and business development.

The position is located in our Cincinnati, OH office.

Requirements include:

  • Massachusetts PE registration is required
  • Experience with internal and external project management
  • Experience with Healthcare, Higher Education, K-12 and Commercial market sectors
  • Experience with Revit/AutoCAD

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance, support, mentorship, and leadership to staff engineers.
  • Interacting with owners, clients, architects, and contractors as needed with verbal and written communication.
  • Evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria to perform assigned tasks.
  • Confer with other engineers and other personnel to complete project deadlines.
  • Apply knowledge of engineering principles and research, design, and evaluate products, equipment, systems, and processes to meet project requirements.
  • Design and specify system components to ensure conformance with project goals and requirements.
  • Research and analyze clients design requirements, manuals, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of designs or applications.
  • Review contractor submittals (shop drawings, etc.) to determine conformance with contract documents.
