Position Overview:
As a key member of the healthcare team, the Staff Pharmacist is accountable for ensuring safe, effective, and economical medication therapy for patients at Penn State College of Medicine. This role involves:

Responsibilities:
- Verifying the accuracy of medication dispensing and evaluating physician orders.
- Monitoring patient drug therapies and communicating with healthcare providers regarding pharmacotherapy concerns.
- Participating in adherence to institutional drug use policies.
- Providing educational resources and pharmacotherapy information to physicians, nurses, residents, students, and patients.

Qualifications:
- A Bachelor of Science or Doctor of Pharmacy degree is required.
- Current licensure in Pennsylvania or eligibility for licensure is mandatory.
- Previous experience in a hospital pharmacy setting is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and effective time management abilities are essential.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit occasionally; stand constantly; and walk frequently.
- Capable of lifting weights ranging from 0-35 lbs. as needed.
- Frequent use of hands for grasping and reaching.
