Position Overview:
The Senior Vice President of Pharmacy Services plays a pivotal role in the healthcare system, reporting directly to the Executive Vice President and System Chief Medical Officer, as well as the Vice President of Operations.

Key Responsibilities:
This executive position encompasses comprehensive oversight of pharmacy operations across the system, ensuring effective collaboration with clinical and administrative leaders, including senior executives and departmental heads.

The Senior Vice President will allocate their time equally between system-wide pharmacy management and specific operational oversight.

Strategic Leadership:
The Senior Vice President will be responsible for establishing a visionary strategy for the pharmacy service line, focusing on innovation and leadership to enhance clinical services, safety, and quality in medication management. This role is crucial in aligning pharmacy operations with the organization’s strategic objectives and operational priorities.

Operational Excellence:
Administrative duties will include managing all pharmacy domains within the healthcare system, such as:
1. Inpatient and acute care
2. Ambulatory clinical services
3. Retail and specialty pharmacy
4. Medication access initiatives
5. Oncology and compounding services
6. Financial and business operations
7. Supply chain management
8. Pharmacy contracting and formulary oversight
9. Safety and quality assurance
10. Revenue cycle management
11. Data science and informatics
12. Regulatory compliance and accreditation
13. Residency and academic programs

Qualifications:
- A Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited institution.
- An advanced degree in a pharmacy or healthcare-related field, such as an MBA or MPH.
- Current unrestricted licensure as a pharmacist in Pennsylvania or the ability to obtain it within six months of hire.
- A minimum of 15 years of experience in an academic healthcare setting or a large, complex health system.
