About the Role

The Chief Pharmacy Officer - System Pharmacy Leader will provide strategic leadership and direction for the pharmacy service line, ensuring optimal clinical services, safety, and quality related to medication use and pharmacy-related financial contributions in alignment with the organization's strategic goals and operational priorities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive pharmacy strategy to drive innovation, quality, and patient safety.
  • Lead a team of pharmacy professionals to provide clinical services, medication management, and pharmacy-related financial contributions.
  • Collaborate with clinical and administrative leaders to ensure alignment with organizational goals and priorities.
  • Develop and manage budgets, resources, and personnel to achieve pharmacy service line objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and industry best practices.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, research, and emerging technologies to inform pharmacy service line strategy and operations.
Requirements
  • Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited college of pharmacy.
  • Advanced degree in pharmacy or healthcare-related field (e.g., MBA, MS in pharmacy, MPH, or MHA).
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in a large complex health system or academic healthcare setting.
  • Current unrestricted licensure as a pharmacist in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania (or ability to obtain within six months of hire date).
