The Senior Vice President of Pharmacy Services holds a critical leadership role, reporting directly to the Executive Vice President & System Chief Medical Officer. This position is responsible for the comprehensive management of pharmacy operations across the system, ensuring alignment with clinical and administrative leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of pharmacy services, ensuring the delivery of high-quality clinical services and medication safety.
- Collaborate with senior executives and departmental leaders to drive strategic initiatives and operational excellence within the pharmacy domain.
- Develop and implement innovative pharmacy practices and technologies to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.
- Manage all pharmacy-related domains, including inpatient care, outpatient services, specialty pharmacy, and medication access programs.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and maintain accreditation across all pharmacy services.
Qualifications:
- A Doctor of Pharmacy degree or equivalent from an accredited institution.
- An advanced degree in a relevant field such as an MBA or MHA is preferred.
- A minimum of 15 years of experience in a complex healthcare environment, with a focus on pharmacy operations.
- Current licensure as a pharmacist in the relevant jurisdiction is required.
