Position Purpose:
The Regional Sales Director is a seasoned sales leader who drives new business and manages a team of experienced sales professionals. They will oversee a team of sales executives who sell the full portfolio of Stericycle regulated waste solutions, addressing sustainability, compliance, and efficiency within the Non-Acute space. The Regional Sales Director executes short- and long-term plans to drive growth, ensuring customer retention and growth within their assigned regions.
The ideal candidate has experience managing sales teams with multi-million dollar quotas and driving new business development. They will cover the Northeast as their territory, including VA, MD, District of Columbia, Eastern PA, NJ, NY, MA, RI, and CT. The Regional Sales Director must reside within the territory.
Key Job Activities:
- Provide leadership, direction, and management of the regional sales team to achieve annual sales objectives.
- Direct and manage the recruiting, hiring, training, and development of sales staff.
- Direct and manage sales productivity and profitability to achieve designated profit objectives within respective geographical responsibility.
- Direct and manage the entire sales cycle, including prospecting, proposals, contracting, and renewals.
- Interface with customers, providing relationship management support related to sales and service matters.
- Partner closely with other Commercial functions to develop appropriate compensation, pricing, and marketing strategies for hospital sales.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Education:
Preferred education equivalent to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or the equivalent in related work experience. Ten or more years of sales experience, including five to seven years of sales management experience or corporate account management experience. Experience in managing teams in the healthcare industry, including those that serve or manage single, large, and multi-site healthcare facilities or large-scale healthcare enterprises.
