About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Global Category Manager for New Regions to join our team. As a key member of our Infrastructure Supply Chain organization, you will be responsible for creating and implementing sourcing strategies for services required for all Power and Cooling sub-categories.

You will work closely with internal business partners and suppliers to reduce risks and costs for Amazon. Your expertise in developing category strategies and pricing models will be essential in driving business results.

The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently with significant autonomy. If you are a strategic thinker with a passion for procurement and a desire to make a meaningful impact, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities
  • Manage a complex category within the Maintenance, Repair, and Operation (MRO) domains.
  • Achieve cost savings through bidding and negotiations, drive collaboration to achieve long-term value delivery.
  • Obtain market intelligence, analyze category data and metrics to drive sourcing category strategies.
  • Understand trends in customers' needs and concerns, across categories and regions, to influence customers' priorities.
  • Lead supplier selection process across multiple sub-categories, internal teams, and regions, and create longer-term supplier selection strategies for management.
  • Ensure knowledge about the supply market, new innovations, and supplier capabilities, technically and geographically.
  • Ensure knowledge about sustainability, diversity, in-country value, and experience developing category strategies to incorporate same.
  • Lead business reviews to discuss best practices and issues and to ultimately improve supplier performance and strengthen business partnerships.
  • Innovate within the procurement space, automating and/or improving tools or processes to better support the Procurement Lifecycle.
  • Provide support throughout the contracting process, as well as SRM and management of contracts post-execution.

Travel is required, approximately 20%.
