Data Center Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Center Engineer to manage and maintain our data center infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in power and cooling systems, as well as experience with SNMP management and hardware upgrades.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain PDU's, including SNMP management.
  • Monitor data center infrastructure for performance and reliability, and take proactive measures to address any issues or potential bottlenecks.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as hardware upgrades, patch management, and firmware updates for UPS and CRAC units.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues in a timely manner.
  • Implement and maintain security best practices to protect data center assets from unauthorized access.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years experience in data center operations and infrastructure management.
  • Strong knowledge of HP and IBM server hardware, including rack-mount and blade servers.
  • Experience with networking protocols and technologies, such as TCP/IP, VLANs, and routing protocols is a plus.
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies, such as VMware or Hyper-V.
