We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Civil Engineer to lead our civil design project teams in creating world-class designs for various projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to adapt to changing project requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Lead civil design project teams to create innovative and effective designs for new projects, alterations, and redevelopments.
- Collaborate with project managers to develop project schedules, scopes, budgets, and staffing plans.
- Review and approve civil vendor drawings, data interfaces, and construction specifications.
- Participate in the development of project schedules, scopes, budgets, and staffing plans.
- Manage change orders and ensure effective communication with clients and other engineering disciplines.
- Apply expert knowledge of civil engineering concepts, practices, codes, and procedures to complex projects.
- Compile studies and reports, and write specifications for civil engineering projects.
- Lead field inspections, installation, measurements, or calculations for public and private clients.
- Prepare and present technical reports for clients and industry publications.
- Build effective relationships with clients, customers, and contractors to develop new business opportunities.
- Participate in sales and marketing efforts, and identify, lead, and manage key pursuits.
- Lead the development of cost proposals and qualification statements to achieve stated targets and standards for financial performance.
- Prepare, present, and manage project budgets and cost estimates, and report project performance.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and instruction to the civil engineering practice, and mentor and guide less experienced engineers.
- Ensure QA/QC process adherence, and effective communication with other engineering disciplines.
- Comply with company and site safety policies.
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related degree from an ABET-accredited program.
- 7 years of civil engineering experience, with EPC project experience preferred.
- Expert knowledge in standard engineering techniques and procedures, and strong computer skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to lead the discipline design for large projects, delegate work tasks to team members, and resolve issues in a team environment.
- Demonstrated critical thinking skills, ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment.
- Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to perform quality reviews for detailed engineering documents and specifications.
- Ability to travel.
- Professional Engineer (PE) License preferred.
