We are seeking a Model Governance and Risk Senior Analyst to join our dynamic team. This role offers significant growth opportunities for driven and exceptional individuals. The analyst will report to the Model Governance Manager and play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with local and international regulations regarding anti-terrorist financing, sanctions, AML, and securities laws related to Model Governance and Risk.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform testing and optimization for AML and Trade Surveillance Reports/Models.
  • Execute performance assessments of machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) models.
  • Validate algorithms and programming logic using Python, SQL, and Java.
  • Develop scripts in Python and SQL for quantitative analysis of financial crime data and data quality evaluations.
  • Conduct independent development of ML and other models for validation or internal research as needed.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for tuning reports, schedules, and data analyses.
  • Review ML/AI model documentation to ensure alignment with governance protocols and regulatory standards during testing and tuning.
  • Develop and revise model tuning strategies.
  • Maintain the model governance framework and associated documentation.
  • Engage with key stakeholders in model governance and regional leadership to ensure effective oversight of model identification, development, usage, and evaluation processes.
  • Assess model documentation for completeness and adherence to program standards and templates.
The ideal candidate will possess regulatory compliance experience in environments such as exchanges, regulatory bodies, Broker-Dealers (BD), Futures Commission Merchants (FCM), or banks.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., computer science, physics, mathematics, or engineering).
  • 3+ years of practical experience in programming and/or ML/AI implementation.
  • Basic understanding of AML risks and Trade Surveillance principles.
  • Ability to convey technical information to non-technical audiences.
  • Intermediate proficiency in programming languages: Python and SQL.
  • Intermediate understanding of ML/AI concepts, including model algorithms, feature importance, and sensitivity analysis (precision-recall).
  • Basic familiarity with Java and Python libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, Plotly, catboost, seaborn).
  • Capacity to work autonomously and collaboratively, effectively prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environment.
