Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Account Manager to join our team at MPLOY. As a key member of our client services team, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients and overseeing the delivery of high-quality work that meets their needs.

You will work closely with internal creative and media teams to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. You will build strong client relationships, identify growth opportunities, and manage client expectations.

This is an in-person role for our client's Nashville office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of clients, ensuring the delivery of high-quality work that meets their needs
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and ensure timely and effective communication
  • Work closely with internal teams, including creative, media, and account teams, to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships by understanding their business needs and identifying growth opportunities
  • Acquiring a thorough knowledge of the clients industry, business, and key stakeholders
  • Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell services to clients
  • Ensure that client expectations are met or exceeded, and manage any issues
  • Provide regular reports to clients and internal stakeholders on project status, budget, and performance
  • Participate in new business development efforts, including proposals and presentations
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, and apply this knowledge to develop client strategies
  • At times, overnight travel may be required
Requirements
  • Client Relationship Management: Building and maintaining solid relationships with clients is crucial. You should possess excellent communication skills, be attentive to client needs, and manage expectations effectively.
  • Strategic Thinking: Successful account supervisors have a strategic mindset. You should understand the client's business objectives, analyze market trends, and develop effective advertising strategies that align with the client's goals.
  • Leadership and Team Management: As an account supervisor, you'll often oversee a team of account managers and coordinators. Strong leadership skills are essential to motivate and guide your team members, delegate tasks, and ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Project Management: You should be skilled at managing multiple projects simultaneously. This includes setting priorities, establishing timelines, allocating resources, and coordinating efforts across different departments to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Industry Knowledge: Staying updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices is vital. You should deeply understand the advertising landscape, including digital marketing, social media, and traditional advertising channels, to provide clients with valuable insights and innovative ideas.
  • Financial Acumen: A solid grasp of budgeting, forecasting, and financial management is essential. You should be able to create accurate project estimates, monitor costs, and demonstrate fiscal responsibility to ensure profitability and client satisfaction.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Advertising campaigns can face unexpected challenges. Thinking creatively, adapting to changing circumstances, and finding effective solutions are crucial to overcoming obstacles and ensuring successful outcomes.
  • Collaboration and Networking: Building strong relationships internally within the agency and externally with vendors, media partners, and industry professionals can greatly benefit your role. Collaborative skills and a strong network can help you access resources, negotiate favorable deals, and leverage expertise to deliver exceptional client results.
  • Results-Oriented Approach: Ultimately, your success as an account supervisor is measured by the results achieved for your clients. Being driven, setting clear goals, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), and continuously evaluating and optimizing campaigns will help demonstrate value and drive client satisfaction.
