Job Overview

We are looking for a dedicated Agricultural Sales Consultant to join our team at Syngenta Seeds. In this role, you will oversee a team of committed Seed Advisers within your designated area, utilizing your extensive local knowledge and agronomic skills to tackle intricate agricultural issues.

Location: Central Nebraska


Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitating access to a comprehensive and varied selection of seed hybrids
  • Tailoring recommendations for entire acreages
  • Recruiting, nurturing, and overseeing a network of professional resellers
  • Engaging in consultative selling, establishing expertise, and building trust with clients
  • Delivering targeted plans and offers through selected distribution partners
  • Generating demand at the customer level, ensuring they are well-informed about our products and interested in Syngenta solutions
  • Mentoring Seed Advisors on optimal product placement to enhance customer satisfaction
  • Regularly gathering and reporting market intelligence and valuable insights from the value chain
  • Managing the operational budget, variable selling expenses, and marketing funds in accordance with district guidelines
  • Creating business plans at the territory level and for Seed Advisors that pinpoint specific opportunities and strategies to boost sales

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or a related field, or equivalent experience in the agricultural sector
  • At least 2 years of experience in sales or sales leadership, preferably in agricultural sales
  • A strong customer-centric approach with proven sales and negotiation capabilities
  • Candidate must reside within the territory
