We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Arlo Wynwood. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing all food outlets, including our restaurant, lobby bar, rooftop, banquets, and general store.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the culinary team to ensure exceptional food quality, cleanliness, and labor standards.
  • Develop and implement menus that meet company standards and appeal to our guests.
  • Coordinate and multitask job duties in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communicate effectively with the general manager and hotel manager to ensure seamless operations.
  • Oversee scheduling, ordering, and payroll for the culinary team.
  • Continuously seek out and negotiate the best prices for high-quality ingredients with purveyors.
  • Expedite services during shifts and ensure consistent standards are upheld.
  • Set and maintain labor par levels with the general manager.
  • Establish training schedules for new cooks and chefs.
  • Maintain food and labor costs within company standards.
  • Inspire and set a positive tone in the kitchen.
  • Coach, train, and mentor cooks and sous chefs.
  • Perform employee evaluations and assist with sales forecasting, labor, and food cost budgeting.
  • Represent the restaurant at public events and maintain a positive image.
  • Ensure compliance with Florida Health Department regulations and maintain a 'A' Level Facility.
  • Uphold all company policies and standard operating procedures.
  • Act as an ambassador for Arlo Hotels Culture.
Requirements
  • 15+ years of cooking and management experience in a high-volume restaurant or hotel kitchen.
  • 5+ years of Executive Chef or comparable management experience in upscale restaurants and/or hotels.
  • Proficiency in the English language (both speaking and writing).
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and stay on your feet for 8 hours plus.
Knowledge and Certifications
  • Extensive knowledge of professional kitchen operations and knife skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Extensive knowledge of the Florida Department of Health's codes and regulations.
  • Florida Manager Food Handler Certification.
