Job Summary

As a Waterfront Business Operations Manager, you will serve as a key member of the Waterfront Business Operation Division, responsible for evaluating, analyzing, and marketing repairables and other DOD-related work. You will direct and supervise special projects assigned by the Shipyard Commander and other senior managers, conduct conferences and meetings with major NNSY customers, and resolve bottlenecks or interruptions in planning and executing waterfront projects.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate work performance of subordinate supervisors and nonsupervisory employees
  • Interview candidates for positions in the unit and recommend appointments, promotions, or reassignments
Requirements

Qualifications: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate decision-making and making recommendations to resolve complex issues, planning, estimating, and forecasting workload for an organization, advising and consulting upper echelon on matters such as ship work, performance metrics, and business policies, and utilizing skills in financial management, personnel management, funds administration, and project management in relation to the maintenance, overhaul, and alteration of navy vessels.
