Job Title: Administrative Assistant

At Schools of the Sacred Heart, we are seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant to join our team. This is a 11-month position that requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.

Job Summary:

The Administrative Assistant will provide administrative support to the Division Heads and Grade Chairs, assist with school communications, generate report cards and other mailings to parents, and track daily student and/or faculty attendance. The successful candidate will also be responsible for coordinating substitute teachers and helping to arrange classroom coverage, as well as supporting the publication of the weekly electronic newsletter (Thursday Notes).

Responsibilities:
  • Provide administrative support to Division Heads and Grade Chairs
  • Assist with school communications
  • Generate report cards and other mailings to parents
  • Track daily student and/or faculty attendance
  • Coordinate substitute teachers and help arrange classroom coverage
  • Support the publication of the weekly electronic newsletter (Thursday Notes)
  • Complete space requests for faculty and administrators
  • Support scheduling of daily and special events
  • Generate forms as needed
  • Perform various clerical and administrative duties
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 2-3 years of administrative experience, preferably in a school setting
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and writing skills
  • Proficiency in various technology applications and tools, including Google Suite, Microsoft Excel, and database entry and reporting
  • Ability to work well with children and adults
  • Ability to work in a loud and active environment
  • Team-oriented with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
