EPPA stands as a premier provider of emergency medical services, dedicated to offering exceptional and empathetic care to individuals in urgent need throughout Minnesota. Our mission is to cultivate a professionally rewarding atmosphere for our physicians, ensuring long-term satisfaction within the field of emergency medicine.
Our Legacy
Established in 1969, we have seamlessly integrated our proficiency in emergency medicine with a robust culture that prioritizes the success of our medical professionals. As a democratically governed, independent physician group, we offer ownership opportunities within two years of joining our ranks. Currently, EPPA serves 7 hospitals in the Twin Cities metro area, 1 central Minnesota hospital, 5 regional and rural sites, along with 3 Urgency Rooms, which are free-standing acute care clinics operated by EPPA. Our patient volumes across all locations vary from 9,000 to 75,000 annually.

Essential Qualifications
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree is required.
- Board Eligible or Board Certified (BE/BC) in Emergency Medicine.
- Possession of a valid State of Minnesota MD or DO license and DEA is mandatory.
- Successful candidates must comply with TB testing and any vaccinations as per OSHA Guidelines.
Zone Overview
This role will report to our MHealth Fairview Zone. We tailor the sites you cover based on your experience with EPPA. Initially, all new hires will be assigned to our larger hospitals, gradually expanding to regional and Urgency Room coverage as they gain confidence. You will collaborate with zone leadership to determine your coverage sites. Physicians in this zone will have the opportunity to work at notable facilities, including:
- MHealth Fairview Southdale Hospital: Serving the southwest Twin Cities metro area, this facility in Edina, Minnesota, offers comprehensive care utilizing cutting-edge technology and over 40 specialty services.
- MHealth Fairview Ridges Hospital: Located in Burnsville, Minnesota, this 150-bed facility is recognized for its exceptional care for both adults and children, featuring advanced emergency, surgical, orthopedic, cancer, and pediatric services.
