About the Role

The Infection Prevention Specialist is a key member of our healthcare team, responsible for preventing and controlling the spread of infections in our facilities. As a Registered Nurse with a passion for infection prevention, you will work autonomously to develop and implement effective infection control strategies, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our patients and staff.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement infection control policies and procedures
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to educate and train staff on infection prevention practices
  • Investigate and report on infection outbreaks and incidents
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external partners and stakeholders to stay up-to-date on best practices in infection prevention
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or related field
  • 1 year of healthcare experience, with a focus on infection prevention
  • National Certification in Infection Control (CIC) within 1 year of hire
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Nursing or related field
  • 4 years of healthcare experience, with a focus on infection prevention
  • 2 years of experience in epidemiology or a related field
